Another Thursday, another book Review, and I am excited to begin talking about it.
So as you may know I am a big lover of romance novels and I say that with no shame. An adorable romance novel is always up my reading ally and today I am talking about a new one for me that was part of my January Book of the Month Box. That book is The Dating Plan by Sara Desai.
The Dating Plan tells the story of Daisy Patel and Liam Murphy. Daisy is a computer engineer who is trying to live her best life and mind her business with her job and doing her thing that works for her. While doing that, her family is trying to arrange a marriage for her and she is trying to dodge this metalling while doing what she likes. Then there is Liam Murphy, best friend of her older brother, and prom date betrayal for Daisy. Liam is a mix of the wrong side of the track and got dealt a bad hand and trying to get his life correct and running away from the demons that steam from his family. A sudden chance meeting, a fake engagement that becomes very real, and getting out of your comfort zone makes for not only a wild but adorable love story.
I really loved Daisy's personal growth in the story. I am a sucker for a good personal growth moment, and Daisy's journey did that for me. Daisy goes from your typical nerd who wants more but is also afraid to get more, to a woman with friends, love, and a more solid voice for herself. I also liked Liam's personal journey as well from going to a black sheep of the family to repairing the relationship with his family members, especially his brother. It was a super cute and happy bonding moment. I also enjoyed Liam and Dasiy's relationship and the ways they ended up together and how it all worked out.
There wasn't much I didn't like about this book. I liked the fact that it was a breeze to read. It was super cute and I ended up finishing it in about a day.
